A Heartwarming Local Family Session at Wailuku, Maui

Aloha! Allow me to take you on a journey to the beautiful Sugar Beach Events venue in Kihei, where Megan and Kulani celebrated their love. As a Kihei wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of capturing many special moments, but this was truly a standout event.

The morning preparations started off with a flurry of excitement and anticipation. Megan and Kulani, with their unique, vibrant personalities, filled the room with laughter and joy. Their love for each other was palpable, and it spilled over to everyone around them.

The ceremony was held at the picturesque Sugar Beach Events venue, surrounded by the natural beauty of Maui. The reception, also at Sugar Beach Events, was absolutely stunning. The standout decor details included a breathtaking archway adorned with tropical flowers, and rustic wooden tables beautifully decorated with candles and floral arrangements.

The guests, most of whom live on Maui, with a few who travelled from the mainland, added to the vibrant atmosphere. The weather was perfect, a sunny November day that was ideal for an outdoor wedding in Kihei. The beachside ceremony, the sunset photos on the beach, and the heartfelt toasts were some of the unique features of the day.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing vendors who helped make this day possible. I'm absolutely thrilled to share with you the delightful story of Kai and Savannah's wedding which took place at none other than The Bowman's property in Wailuku, Maui. As you may recall, I too had the honor of getting married at this spectacular location in 2016, so returning here was like coming home.

The Bowman's, Bruce and Evelyn, are like family to me. For those who don't know, they are the doting grandparents of Kai and the owners of this stunning property. Their warm hospitality made the entire experience all the more special.

The morning preparations took place at the Bowman's house, filled with laughter, anticipation, and some happy tears. The first look was a heartfelt moment, set against Uncle Bruce's beautiful garden under the soft Maui sun.

The wedding ceremony itself was held right there on the property, under a canopy of trees, overlooking central Maui and a view of Haleakala. It was a sight to behold! Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the love between Kai and Savannah was palpable.

The photoshoot that followed took us to various picturesque spots around the property, capturing the joy and excitement of the newlyweds. The reception was a fun-filled affair with family and friends who traveled from as far as Seattle to be a part of the celebration.

Meet the Buell family - a lively, blended family with a taste for adventure, sports, and everything sweet. This unique family, consisting of 'his and hers' kids, with no 'ours', recently had a remarkable photo session at two of the most breathtaking locations in Maui - Honolua Forest and Ironwoods Beach, Kapalua. The family is made up of Patrick, the father, his son Ben (13), and his daughters, the twins Jillian and Carli (15). What sets this family apart is their love for travel and their strong faith. They cherish every minute they spend together, whether they're playing sports, working out, or simply enjoying each other's company. And when it comes to food, they have a shared love for chocolate, cookie dough, and anything matcha! The twins, Jillian and Carli, each have their unique passions. Carli is a free-spirited young lady who adores makeup and fashion, and has a knack for volleyball. Jillian, on the other hand, is a dedicated bookworm, a movie enthusiast, and just like her sister, she also loves volleyball. Ben, the youngest of the three, is the family's bundle of joy. This fun-loving goofball can light up any room with his antics. He plays baseball and is known to be quite an ornery little dude.
